One of our Civil clients is on the hunt for a natural leader. Someone with roading experience and great people skills. This opportunity is perfect for a skilled/experienced civil labourer wanting to take the next step in their career or an existing supervisor seeking new opportunity and challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the coordinating and programming of current and future work
  • Lead a team to successfully achieve planned work and achieve their career goals.
  • Support the growth/recruitment of future employees in the maintenance division.
  • Manage sub-contractors including organising required Traffic management.
  • Experience utilising RAMM and managing sub-contractor claims and job completions.
  • Lead daily morning toolboxes with the teams and align with company value.
  • Strong focus on health and safety not only for yourself, your colleagues but also the public.
  • Work in collaboration with other teams within the business (Cyclic maintenance, TTM, Surfacing, Construction)

What you will bring to the role:

  • Experience in construction and road maintenance (to Supervisor level) 
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and schedule work.
  • Experience with plant and people resourcing, managing utilisation and plant costs.
  • Full clean Class 1 New Zealand Driver's License - Class 2 and WTR beneficial.
  • The ability to lead, motivate and influence your team.
  • Problem solving skills around everyday re-active maintenance works.
  • Experience in cost management regarding material and labour requirements.
  • A strong focus on health and safety not only for yourself, your team but also the public.
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written and a person who can build long standing relationships.
