Building Futures with Purpose: Adecco NZ Partners with Tango Kilo Mike
Adecco New Zealand is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Tango Kilo Mike. They are an organisation who are dedicated to supporting veterans and emergency service personnel as they transition into civilian careers and leadership roles.
The Adecco Group has a rich history of working in these spaces around the world, and Adecco New Zealand is proud to continue this work. Together we are ‘Making The Future Work For Everyone’.
This collaboration is more than a partnership; it is a shared commitment to empowering those who have served our communities. By joining Tango Kilo Mike’s Coalition for Good, Adecco NZ strengthens its mission of ‘Making The Future Work For Everyone’. This includes connecting people with career opportunities across a wide range of industries – from office support and engineering to logistics, trades, and manufacturing.
Who is Tango Kilo Mike?
Founded in 2019, Tango Kilo Mike (TKM) is a New Zealand based charity that provides holistic support for individuals and families connected to the New Zealand Defense Force and emergency services.
Their services include:
- Careers upskill coaching.
- Employment support for redundancy, retirement, or medical incapacity
- Psychosocial support for reintegration and decompression back into society
- Family support for spouses and wider families of those currently serving.
- Financial support such as budgeting advice, retirement planning, debt reduction, and home ownership assistance through strategic partners
- Paid and free martial arts training for physical wellbeing
TKM’s approach is rooted in building identity, purpose, and belonging. Their name, Tango Kilo Mike – which stands for “Take a Knee, Mate” – is more than just a name. It is a philosophy. Pausing in the middle of chaos is not a weakness. It is how you come back to yourself. This belief is central to how TKM supports individuals through transition, recovery, and growth.
Their mission is to empower veterans and service personnel to thrive by providing the tools, resources, and support needed to successfully navigate their future. Their vision is a society where all veterans and service members feel valued, supported, and equipped to succeed in civilian life – never facing challenges alone.
Why this partnership matters
Adecco NZ brings a powerful combination of global reach and local expertise, supporting thousands of New Zealanders into new careers each year. Adecco places over 1,500 temporary workers and around 250 permanent employees each year. With this scale and reach, it is well-equipped to support service personnel into roles that match their skills and leadership experience.
Chris Collins, CEO of Tango Kilo Mike shared:
“Adecco’s deep understanding of the New Zealand job market and their global reputation for excellence makes them an ideal partner. Together, we are not just placing people into jobs – we are building futures rooted in identity, purpose, and belonging.”
What this means for our communities
This partnership will:
- Provide tailored recruitment support for veterans and emergency responders.
- Expand nationwide access to career opportunities.
- Promote leadership development and barrier-free employment.
- Strengthen the Coalition for Good, a network of organisations committed to social impact.
Together, Adecco NZ and Tango Kilo Mike are helping to rewrite the narrative around service transition – turning challenges into opportunities and experience into leadership.
